Awwww…congratulations! They’re adorable! Dh and I were always planning on naming our daughter if we have one, Sarah after his grandma. She was a bit of a spit fire too, but such a great lady.

Thanks! It seems like it has taken forever to get to this point, and now that it’s almost here it seems a little surreal. It’ll all be very real 48 hours from now.

Poppy – On bed rest since week 28, so almost 5 weeks now. Hard to believe that time has flown so fast. We did have one other complication at the DR appt that I forgot to mention. Between our 30 and 32 week appointments my cervix shrunk from 2.9 to 2.1cm – which is the reason I’m on bed rest in the first place. But the DR didn’t mention being more restrictive at this time.

babyplease – You’re a teacher? That’s awesome! And nice that the school splits up the multiples. I actually have a fraternal twin sister, and they did that with us after first grade. We were always in different classes. Good for individuality. : )

How cute! They do say that multiples definitely have a connection/bond. As a teacher to one triplet and one twin, I would definitely say there is a bond with their sibling(s) like no other. It’s pretty amazing! I’m happy to hear that everything is going well. What a relief that it was dehydration and not preeclampsia.

Yes, it was a long road and we got really lucky. It could have gone either way.

I’m still on bedrest. I don’t really expect that to change anytime soon. I may get to do a little more, or maybe less, but I expect to stay on it throughout. Some days I probably do a bit more then I should, but overall I think I do a pretty good job staying horizontal. We’ll see at the DR next week how it worked out…

I’m glad your sonogram went well with the Dr. It’s so cute when you write about seeing the “kids”. Thinking back to all that you went through to start your family, what wonderful blessings! So are you able to move around a little more or are you still on bedrest?

Thanks Poppy… we’ve already recieved a lot of clothes hand-me-downs. It’s a like an underground network of people who can’t wait to get rid of their stuff! : )

BabyPlease… We’re fortunate to have 2 extra rooms which is great since we’re having one of each. For the time being one will be the bedroom and the other will be the playroom. They’ll sleep in the same crib at first and then in the same room for the first few years hopefully. The rooms are small (10×10) so 2 cribs and a dresser is all that fits. The other room will have a glider, toys, etc. We did a green room and a blue room – both Restoration Hardware colors (Sycamore Green and Atmosphere Blue).
