30 lbs of White Meat
18 January 2008Sleeping with two fat cats between my legs is no picnic. Every time I turn over I have to pull my knees to my chest to get my legs around them. I wake up multiple times a night and rarely feel well rested in the morning.
Those without cats are saying “Kick them off the bed and lock them out of the room!”. Those with cats are chuckling to themselves … knowing that it will never happen.

Oh, it can happen. It’s just that the results are usually even less desirable. One of our cats will rattle the doorknob, another will commence to yowling and WILL NOT STOP until the door is opened.
So, like you, I just deal with it.
At least my cats aren’t chubby. Small mercies, I guess.

I had a cat growing up who would constantly scratch at my bedroom door to get out, then he’d scratch at the garage door to go outside. 10 minutes later, he’d reverse the process. It was torture because you can’t sleep through that sound.
