3 July 2007We had to cancel the contract on the new house. It’s expected to be ready in about a week, and we’re nowhere near to selling the house. It’s a bit of a mixed blessing. We would love to be moving right now, but we felt like we settled for some things that were “must haves” when we started the journey. Being on a court, no houses directly behind us, and a walkout basement were all absent from the house we picked.
Luckily, we have up to 6 months to apply our deposit towards another house. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that one meets our needs, yet does not drive the price up to be prohibitively expensive.

Thanks, Steve. I believe that it will all work out eventually. A little adversity never killed anyone, but it can make it harder to get up some mornings.
