Why
12 February 2007When I was single I had this laundry list in my head of all the things I thought I wanted in a man. From what I remember that list was pretty standard - honest, funny, smart, attractive, motivated. The problem with such a list is that so many men can be all of those things yet be categorically wrong for me.
When I think about my husband it is true that he is all those things, but they’re not what makes him special. It’s all the other things…
- He hears me
- He tells me he loves me every morning and every night (and in between)
- He makes me laugh when it’s the last thing in the world I want to do
- He makes me mix CD’s
- He always offers me a bite of whatever he’s eating
- He’s not afraid to try new things
- He goes along with my crazy ideas
- He takes the time to understand me
- He opens the car door for me
- He takes care of me when I’m sick or just being lazy
- He loves me for me
It’s all those things and more. That’s why I love my husband.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again you did a nice job marrying Drew. He is top shelf. You deserve it sometimes nice girls finish first.
