Drew gets up with Alex most mornings. He goes outside, does his business and then cuddles on the bed with me while Drew showers. When Alex needs to get up earlier then the alarm clock he’ll start tapping the side of the bed indicating he needs to go out.
The Theory
Alex will get Drew out of bed solely so that he can get on the bed lay in his spot.
The Proof
On days when Alex needs to get up earlier then planned he’ll go back to his own bed for anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour before he starts tapping the side of the bed again. As soon as Drew gets up he jumps into the recently vacated spot and cuddles with me. The dog likes his routine.
